Bristol Palin’s ex fiance says he’s not mature enough to get married

NEW YORK - The former fiance of Bristol Palin has said that he and the Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s daughter could reunite in the future but would remain apart for now.

In an interview to air on “Good Morning America,” Levi Johnston said that he needs time to mature before getting married.

“It’s just us not - me not - being mature enough,” the New York Daily News quoted Johnston, as telling Neal Karlinsky.

Johnston said that they broke-up about two months after Bristol gave birth to their son Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston on Dec. 27.

“We were in a fight. And trying to see if we can make things work. But this is what it kind of ended up turning into. But we’ll see what happens,” Johnston said The 19-year-old said that they would ‘just remain friends for now.’

“We’re both cool with that decision, and we’ll see,” he said.
